Peer Review Policy

PEER REVIEW POLICY

Peer Review Process

  • The journal implements double-blind peer review, where the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
  • Each manuscript will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who have expertise in the related field.
  • Reviewers are given 2-4 weeks to complete the review process.
  • The final decision regarding acceptance or rejection of the article is up to the editor based on the reviewer's recommendation.

Review Criteria

Reviewers will assess the manuscript based on:

  • Originality and novelty of the research.
  • Relevance to the scope of the journal.
  • Quality of methodology and data analysis.
  • Quality of writing and clarity of presentation.
  • Compliance with publication ethics standards.

Transparency and Fairness in Peer Review

  • The journal is committed to ensuring that the entire peer review process is transparent and fair.
  • If there is a conflict of interest, the reviewer must disclose it to the editor and refuse to review the manuscript.
  • The author has the right to appeal the decision if they have strong reasons and are supported by clear evidence.

Handling Ethical Deviations in Peer Review

  • If ethical violations are found in the review process, the journal has the right to take action, including replacing the reviewer or conducting a re-review.
  • All cases of ethical violations will be handled in accordance with the COPE guidelines.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles published Open Access will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download.

AGRICULTURAL SCEINCE is open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to users or / institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to full text articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or author. This is in  Open Access.

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Authors may only submit original work that has not been plagiarized and has not been published or is being considered elsewhere. software used by the editorial team to check the similarity of submitted manuscripts with the existing literature in between.

Waiver Policy

Waiver Policy

A waiver or partial waiver of author fees may be decided by the editor in case of lack of funding, excessive length of submitted manuscript or other reasonable reasons provided by the author during the submission. The author should clearly declare that he asks for a waiver in the comments to the Editor box during their submission. A waiver is most likely to be denied if it is not asked in this stage. The waiver will have no effect to the review result.

Withdrawal of Manuscripts

Withdrawal of Manuscripts

  1. The author is not allowed to withdraw submitted manuscripts, because the withdrawal is a waste of valuable resources that editors and referees spent a great deal of time processing submitted manuscript, and works invested by the publisher.
  2. If the author still requests withdrawal of his/her manuscript when the manuscript is still in the peer-reviewing process, the author will be punished with paying IDR 400,000 (26,8USD) per manuscript, as withdrawal penalty to the publisher. However, it is unethical to withdraw a submitted manuscript from one journal if accepted by another journal.
  3. The withdrawal of manuscript after the manuscript is accepted for publication, the author will be punished by paying IDR 1,500,000 (100,5USD) per manuscript. Withdrawal of manuscript is only allowed after the withdrawal penalty has been fully paid to the Publisher. If the author doesn't agree to pay the penalty, the author and his/her affiliation will be blacklisted for publication in this journal. Even, his/her previously published articles will be removed from our online system.
